Capitals Welcome New Head Coach

The Cowichan Valley Capitals are announcing a new head coach and general manager, ahead of the 2017-18 season.
37 year old Brian Passmore is taking over for Bob Beatty, who has resigned after spending four seasons with the team.
Passmore says his long term goals for the team include strengthening the image of the Cowichan Capitals.
He is looking forward to getting to know all the returning players, and bringing in some new additions to the team. He says there are a couple transactions that are in the works.
Passmore spent the past two seasons as Head Coach of Shawnigan Lake School’s Bantam Prep Hockey Team. He previously coached in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League, with the Peninsula Panthers and Westshore Wolves.
Assistant GM Darren Rodney will also have an expanded role as team’s Director of Hockey Operations. Dan Whiteford will be returning as Assistant Coach.
