Police asking for public’s help with vandalism case in Shawnigan Lake

Shawnigan Lake RCMP are turning to the public to help them with a recent case of vandalism.   

They say thousands of dollars worth of damage was done to industrial equipment owned by Island Timberlands, and sub-contractors, sometime between 5pm on December 14th and 7am on December 15th.

Police say somebody used an excavator on the company’s property to drop trees over a road, dig holes and damage a bridge. They say the machine was also broken in the process

RCMP say the damage done to local sub-contractors could be as much as 25 thousand. Anyone with information is asked to contact the detachment.
