A 4 and a half million dollar project will be going ahead in the Cowichan Valley Regional District.
The project will see the Meade Creek Recycling Centre get some much needed upgrades and the ash landfill will finally be closed.
The District’s Manager of Solid Waste, Tauseef Waraich says the project is expected to start this year and be done by 2018 and provisions are being made so residents will still be able to access services…..
The project is getting a kickstart with 2 and a half million dollars coming from the Federal Gas Tax Fund.
The CVRD will borrow the rest.
