There’s a wind warning in effect for areas of Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.
A cold front is pushing across the south coast and the warning includes east Vancouver Island.
The wind should ease by noon today.
It has resulted in the cancellation of at least one ferry this morning.
The Queen of Burnaby, between Comox and Powell River did not run at 6:20 and won’t be running at 8 either.
You may want to check with BC Ferries before heading out to make sure the vessel you plan to take is running and on time.
