There was a fatal crash on Shawnigan Lake Road yesterday (Wed) afternoon.
The driver and lone occupant of a pickup truck, a woman, lost control of the vehicle and went off the road.
The accident happened around 3:30.
Access to the turnoff of Shawnigan Lake Road from the Malahat remained closed for a number of hours while the coroner and traffic investigators did their job.
No name has been released.
