The 20th Black Tie Awards and Auction were held Saturday at Brentwood College School.
Duncan/North Cowichan Chamber of Commerce President Julie Scurr says the awards recognize exceptional Finalists who demonstrate a special blend of compassion and drive, and a mixture of success and generosity.
The Chamber presented the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award to Jim Dias who was the Chief Administration
Officer of Municipality of North Cowichan, retiring in 2010.
He is still an active volunteer with Providence Farm,
the Old Timers Hockey Association and Rotary Club of Duncan.
