Free bus passes available to refugee families

Refugee families in the Cowichan Valley are now able to apply for a free bus pass through the Cowichan Intercultural Society.

The Cowichan Valley Regional District has offered up to 20 free transit passes to the society to help refugee families have more access.. Community Partnerships Coordinator Jennifer Yee Fairweather says this will help the families integrate easier into everyday life in the Valley…

These transit passes are available to refugees regardless of country of origin, and the program is available from now until March next year. The Cowichan Intercultural Society is responsible for issuing the passes.
