The Maple Tree at the Island Savings Centre is safe…for now.
The CVRD has promised not to take any action surrounding the tree, until after a community conversation with concerned residents. The parking lot redesign will continue in other areas, but the James Street entrance will be avoided until after the meeting.
At this meeting, residents will be able to share their concerns, while staff can provide an update on the lifecycle of the tree, and the parking lot project.
The community conversation will take place at the Island Savings Centre on Monday July 11th at 5:30pm.
