Delegates attending the UBCM annual convention will likely have to contend with some large crowds in Victoria this weekend as a result of the Royal Visit.
Al Richmond, President of the Union of BC Municipalities says the Visit is making the planning a little more difficult for organizers of the convention.
But, he says provincial ministers have committed to attend and a ‘bear pit’ type session is one of the more popular sessions….
Saturday a number of delegates will have an opportunity to visit the Fort McMurray oil sands following an invitation from oil and gas companies.
They’ll also see first hand the results of the devastating fires in Fort McMurray.
