BC Hydro Crews continue to work towards restoring the power as a result of last nights wind storm across Vancouver Island and on the Sunshine Coast. Individual restoration times vary as damage is assessed and crews get the repairs made.
In the meantime, B-C Hydro is reminding people to be prepared as the fall storms start to arrive.
Spokesperson Ted Olynyk says the first few storms of the season always result in some weaker branches and trees falling which can bring down power lines.
He says there are a few things people should do to be prepared, should the power go out…
Olynyk says it’s also a good time of year to check to make sure your emergency kit is fully stocked.
