RCMP Complete Investigation into Summer Drowning at Cowichan River

The RCMP investigation into a drowning at Cowichan River earlier this year finds the death of a 28 year old woman non-suspicious.
On July 28th, North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP responded to a report of a deceased woman found in a local swimming area. RCMP recovered the woman, and emergency responders tried unsuccessfully to revive her.
The woman was from Duncan, and a member of Cowichan Tribes.
The BC Coroners Service has taken over the investigation from this point.
