Duncan Jr Baseball Association Concerned with Needles at Ball Park

The Duncan Junior Baseball Association is concerned after finding two needles at Evans Park on Tuesday night. This comes after three needles were found back in February.
Parks and Recreation Director at North Cowichan Ernie Mansuetti says prevention is difficult.
In a Facebook Post, Vice President Tina Baker says the needles were found all over the park. She asks coaches and parent volunteers to do a walk around before letting kids on the field for practice or games.
Mansuetti says North Cowichan workers have been doing daily sweeps as well.
Needle deposit boxes can also be found at the Somenos Marsh Dike, Kinsmen Park and at the dog park.
