A man visiting from out of the country got lost on his way down from Mount Tzouhalem yesterday evening.
Luckily, a group of hikers ran into him, and escorted him down the mountain.
Cowichan Search and Rescue were called to the scene, but were stood down pretty quickly thanks to the work of the good samaritans. Search Manager Tina Phillips says it’s important for locals to educate their visitors on outdoors in BC and the essentials to pack before heading on any trip.
