The Cowichan Women Against Violence Society has now responded to the sentence handed down to murderer William Elliot.
The society’s executive director is Jane Sterk.
She says a resolution doesn’t bring the two Cowichan Valley women back, however, it brings some closure from a justice standpoint.
Elliot received a life sentence without parole eligibility for 20 years on Friday.
The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the deaths of Karrie Ann Stone and Tyeshia Jones. (tr-june16-2014)
