University Area Village Plan on the plate today

The Municipality of North Cowichan Committee of the Whole will meet today (Wed, July 2) to talk about the University Village Local Area Plan.

Staff had been asked to draft a bylaw to incorporate the plan into the Official Community Plan.

Mayor Jon Lefebure says the plan is supposed to go to Council for first reading but that depends on a few issues…..

Council will receive letters of support for plan from Cowichan Tribes, the University and Safer Futures.
