Lake Cowichan’s town council is conducting an informal poll.
As ratepayers come down to the town office to pay their taxes they are being asked to vote whether or not they want to support the Cowichan Aquatic Centre.
Mayor Ross Forrest says council is divided on the issue and decided to put it to the ratepayers in the informal poll….
You can get your two cents in on the poll today (Wed, Jul 2) until 4 o’clock.
In the meantime, residents of the Cowichan Valley will be voting in a referendum in November.
It’s to determine whether or not they want to fund the Cowichan Sportsplex.

The question will be settled on an area by area basis, meaning some, all or none of the areas may end up participating in the funding.
