There’s some disagreement over what the non-binding question should on the ballot this November when residents will be asked if they are in favour or against studying a possible Duncan – North Cowichan amalgamation.
Here is what Duncan’s mayor Phil Kent has to say.
The mayor of North Cowichan is Jon Lefebure.
The two sides were scheduled to meet on Monday.
Amalgamation would combine North Cowichan and Duncan as well as unite local government in the Cowichan region.
