Area libraries among the options during school strike
With no quick end in sight to the teachers labour dispute, parents and students are continuing the hunt for alternatives.
And area libraries say it seems to be a busier than usual September, but they have no way of knowing if it’s really because of the strike.
Natasha Bartlett of the Vancouver Island Regional Library
says they wouldn’t be surprised to find out there’s a connection, because they’ve got a lot of useful material
For now, at least, the VIRL isn’t running any special programming because of the strike. Although Bartlett says they’re highlighting a lot of on line resources like Homework Help to make them easier for first-timers to find.
