The Cowichan Taxbusters are going to step into the upcoming municipal election campaign.
The group says it’s filing papers with Elections BC to become a third-party sponsor.
The director of Taxbusters is Nick Caumanns.
Caumanns says the organization has been active for the past few months raising awareness about rising taxes in North Cowichan.
He adds their website has had thousands of visitors and people are continuing to sign the online petition demanding council hold tax and spending increases to zero for the upcoming four-year term.
Municipal elections in BC are November 15th.
