Duncan to have two non-binding community opinion questions on ballot

The City of Duncan has decided onĀ putting a pair of non-binding community opinion questions on its ballot at November’s municipal elections.

The questions will be used to figure out if residents are in favor or against a boundary restructure study involving Duncan and the Municipality of North Cowichan as well as usingĀ resources toĀ look atĀ the amalgamation process.

Duncan Mayor Phil Kent explains what two questions council decided upon this week.

North Cowichan council decided last month to use just one question on its ballot.

Both sides attempted to come up with a singular non-bindingĀ question butĀ weren’t able to.
