Residents of Honeymoon Bay and Mesachie Lake have a new option for recycling film plastic.
The CVRD’s manager of recycling and waste management,Tauseef Waraich, says collection bins have been set up at the post offices as part of a 90 day pilot project.
Film plastic includes grocery, bread and produce bags.
The CVRD will be checking the bins for contamination and usage and will use the information to decide if the program is worth continuing.
