The Island’s potential role in the LNG industry was the focus of the latest stop in a province-wide tour by Peace River South MLA Mike Bernier.
He says LNG is already having an impact on the Island economy, even though the center of the industry is in the gas fields of the northeast.
There are two LNG projects on the books for Vancouver Island: Steelhead LNG in the Alberni Inlet, and Discovery LNG in Campbell River.
