Major work on a road on the Maple Bay Peninsula will be starting once construction on the Malahat is completed.
North Cowichan Mayor Jon Lefebure says the same company that is working on that project will be repairing and realigning Stoney Hill Road.
He says the last loose end before construction can begin was tied up at a recent council meeting.
The controversial project, which has some residents worried about environmental and archaeological repercussions, will cost just under $3,000,000.
