A bush fire sparked on the east side of Mount Sicker road early this afternoon.
Crews from North Cowichan, Crofton, South End, and Maple Bay Fire Departments responded to the call and North Cowichan’s operations crew actioned the fire.
The blaze is now under control.
The dry conditions mean a fire can spark easily and the public is reminded to be vigilant in forest areas.
