A large amount of GHB, better know as the date rape drug, was found when Nanaimo RCMP and the Vancouver Island Emergency Response Team searched two homes last week, in Nanaimo and Ladysmith.
Charhes are pending against a 36 and 39 year old man.
A home on Harewood Rd in Nanaimo and Prospect Drive in Ladysmith were raided.
Nanaimo RCMP Superintendent Mark Fisher says they found 4 industrial-size barrels of GHB and other chemicals used to make GHB, along with numerous other illegal drugs.
Two loaded handguns, a silencer and two cross bows were also discovered at the Ladysmith residence.
The Bomb Disposal Unit also had to be called to deal with a pipe bomb.
