'Duncan's Big Ben' turns 100 at strike of midnight on New Year's Eve

The clock in the tower at Duncan’s City Hall will turn 100 years old when 2015 rolls around at midnight.
Mayor Phil Kent says “Duncan’s Big Ben” was delivered in 1914 on an ocean liner making its maiden voyage.

He says it was created in England.

The ship that brought the clock and bell over ended up being sunk during World War 1 by a German submarine off the coast of Ireland in 1918.
