People are still digesting the news that a retail chain that came into Canada with a lot of buzz and high hopes is pulling the plug after less than two years.
Target announced yesterday it’s closing its Canadian operations.
And while retail analysts, and a lot consumers, say Target failed to recreate what was working at its US stores, some shoppers we talked to at the Nanaimo location will be sad to see it go.
A total of 5 Island locations are being shut down as Target pulls out of Canada. The others are in Campbell River, Courtenay and greater Victoria.
