Duncan mayor talks budget, future projects & impact on taxes
The City of Duncan continues to work on a budget for the next five years…and the way it stands right now taxes will increase by around 2.7 per cent in 2015, but that could change.
Mayor Phil Kent says the amount of money available and what it can be spent on was discussed at a pair of recent meetings.
He says there are still some projects such as construction on major downtown Duncan intersections that need to be taken into consideration…while others are already accounted for.
Kent will be a guest speaker at the Duncan-Cowichan Chamber of Commerce on Thursday to talk about current projects and priorities.
