A 50-year-old Ladysmith man is being held in custody while police investigate a suspicious death.
Corporal Darren Lagan says a 55-year-old woman is dead after a fight broke out between a group of people in the 10-thousand block of the Trans Canada Highway just before midnight on Tuesday.
The victim was from Ladysmith and knew the man police now have under arrest. So far, no charges have been laid.
