Hitchhiker expected to make full recovery after hit and run near Malahat Summit

The hitchhiker that was hit near the Malahat Summit over the weekend is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries.
Police say the 32-year-old Ladysmith man is conscious and alert but remains in hospital.
They say the vehicle that hit the man did not stop and they have yet to find any witnesses that may have seen the accident.
The investigation is still on going and anybody with information is asked to contact RCMP South Island Traffic Services or Shawnigan Lake RCMP.
