There have been a pair of recent black bear sightings in the Mill Bay area.
According to an email from a concerned resident, a bear was first seen in the Fern Ridge area and then in the front yard of a house in Mill Springs.
Scott Norris is with BC’s Conservation Officer Service.
Norris says residents should lock up their garbage as well as bird seed and pet food. He says if anybody else sees a bear they should report it to the Conservation Officer Service.
