BC Ferries is shutting down the Mill Bay – Brentwood route for a couple of months.
The ferry on that route, the MV Klitsa, needs to go in for a major retrofit starting on April 13th.
Deborah Marshall of BC Ferries says the situation on that route is different from most others in the system – meaning travelers have an option if the stop running.
The retrofit should be done by June 10th. In the meantime, people will have use go the long-way round using Highways 1 and 17.
