During a debate at the Legislature, Doug Routley of Nanaimo North Cowichan, accused the Liberals of letting forestry wither on their watch.
Cowichan Valley’s Bill Routley says that’s a change from the days of one of the Island’s legendary entrepreneurs.
The government says value-added, and forestry in general in BC is doing fine, with forest-related products now making up more than 35 per cent of BC’s total exports.
