The Cowichan Valley School Board has passed a balanced budget for 2015-16.
The first elected school board to do that since the province sacked the previous Board for submitting a deficit budget rather than make cuts.
Chair Candace Spilsbury says public input was key in shaping the budget
Spilsbury also says trustees don’t anticipate a decrease in enrollment numbers heading into next year.
It wasn’t all good news though as Spilsbury says a couple of administrative positions have been cut.
