The long weekend line-ups have begun at BC Ferries

The main BC Ferries routes on the Island  have already started getting busy, and Ferries expects it to stay that way right through to Tuesday morning.

Darin Guenette of BC Ferries says there are 11 extra sailings on the Departure Bay run and 42 for Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay.

Guenette says they don’t have numbers just yet on how popular the new walk-on reservations have been on the Tsawwassen – Southern Gulf Islands route, but he expects they could come close to booking up this weekend.
