Canucks wrap up Kraft Hockeyville with win on Vancouver Island
The Kraft Hockeyville celebration ended with a story book ending on Monday night.
Victoria native Adam Cracknell electrified a packed Q Centre with an OT winner to lead the Canucks past the Sharks 1-0 in NHL exhibition action.
Cracknell, who played for the VIJHL’s Saanich Braves, says he usually hears his mom whistling from the stands when he scores, but, the Kraft Hockeyville game was different.
Thousands went to the game just outside of Victoria to watch the celebration wrap up, and Juice FM caught up with a few fans.
Monday night’s final celebration also included a $100,000 cheque presentation for arena upgrades for North Saanich’s Panorama Recreation Centre.
