Indigenous Voices with elder Stella Johnny
This National Indigenous Peoples Day, join Cowichan Elder Stella Johnny for a thought-provoking cross-cultural activity (intended for an adult audience). Afterwards, stay for a free screening of The Road Forward, a documentary (and musical ! ) that looks at the history of Indigenous activism in Canada and B.C. (12-2pm)

Meet at Cowichan Library at 10am to participate in a Medicine Walk led by Cowichan elder Della (Rice) Sylvester. Participants will be shown local plants, and have the opportunity to learn about their medicinal qualities. All ages welcome (just keep in mind this is a walking tour)
