BC Coroners Service IDs man killed in house fire on Gabriola Island

The BC Coroners Service has identified the man whose body was found in a burned out house on Gabriola Island Monday.

He was 64-year-old Wayne Barry McFetridge.

 RCMP have confirmed McFetridge was due to appear in court that day. He had been charged with possesion of child pornography.

The BC Coroners Service, Office of the Fire Commissioner and RCMP are still investigating.
