Duncan hands out yearly awards; Norm Jackson wins City’s Scroll of Honour

The City of Duncan recently handed out some hardware.

Betty Locke was given the Perpetual Arts Trophy, Gina Jung got the Perpetual Trophy for Excellence & Sportsmanship and the Cowichan Green Community won the Commercial Development Award of Excellence and Residential Development Award of Excellence.

Mayor Phil Kent handed out the biggest award of the night, the Scroll of Honour, which ended up going to Norm Jackson.

Kent says one of the best parts about the annual ceremony is the winners have no clue what is happening until they end up at the Council meeting after being tricked by their loved ones.
