Hacker group Anonymous warns province, companies involved with SIA site

New twists and turns continue to emerge in the Shawnigan Lake/South Island Aggregates saga.

The group Anonymous, best known for hacking government and corporate websites, is now warning the province and companies involved that they “should expect us” if operations continue.

The message was posted on the group’s Operation Green Rights website on Monday, December 13th. Shawnigan Lake’s CVRD area director is Sonia Furstenau.

Meanwhile, activist Roger Chin says he is trying to raise money to put a camera near the soil treatment facility.

Chin says he trying to get people to connect more with what’s going in the area.
