As many as 2 thousand visitors are expected to attend the annual Bigleaf Maple Syrup Festival this weekend.
A member of the informal Sapsuckers club, Gary Backland says tapping maple trees for syrup is a fun and inexpensive hobby….
Backland and other members of the Sapsuckers club will be on hand this weekend to show the public how it’s done.
He says the syrup here is as good as the famous maple syrup produced in Quebec.
