RCMP issue warning following sexual assaults

RCMP are still looking for a suspect involved in two sexual assaults in Nanaimo.
One incident happened in early December and the second happened last Friday along a stretch of railway tracks extending from Fifth Street to the upper portion of Hecate Street.

RCMP Constable Gary O’brien says for those who must use that route, police recommend walking with a buddy, turning down the music in earbuds, and keeping a cell phone in hand so a call can be made quickly…..
A suspect, described as a white man, in his 30’s, about 5 foot 10, slim with a reddish beard is being sought in the case.
