In response to a spate of thefts in Saltair and the surrounding area a community meeting is intended to help people learn how to best protect their personal property.
It’s taking place at the Saltair Community Centre beginning at 7 tonight (Thurs) to discuss how residents can best protect their personal property.
CVRD Saltair/Gulf Islands Director Mel Dorey says the thefts have been happening overnight and the culprits have been making off with anything that isn’t nailed down…..
Dorey says these types of thefts last happened 6 to 8 years ago but people get complacent about locking up their sheds and cars.
