Coroner releases name of pedestrian killed in Duncan collision

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in Duncan back on Febuary 18th.

He is 54 year old Vincent Francis Sampson of Duncan.

Sampson was a pedestrian near the intersection of Evans and Jubilee Streets in Duncan shortly after noon when he was struck by a pickup truck.

He was taken to Cowichan District Hospital and then airlifted to Victoria General Hospital.

However, he died in Victoria General Hospital 4 days later.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP are still investigating.
