Minimum wage to rise

The province says a minimum wage increase will ensure all workers benefit from BC s success and reflects the province’s overall economic growth.

Premier Christy Clark says minimum wage in B.C. will go up September 15th by 40 cents an hour and with another increase in September 2017 will hit the $11.25 mark….

 

 

Clark says small business will not be hung out to dry.

She renewed the province’s commitment to reduce the small business tax rate by 40% by 2017-18.

The province is also introducing 2 point 88 million dollars in new training programs small businesses can tap into.

Two million dollars of that will be used to support 100 per cent of the training for new employees.
