Weedy Wednesday

If you like to get your hands dirty and are enthusiastic about nature, volunteering at the Cowichan Garry Oak Preserve could be a great opportunity.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada is inviting volunteers of all ages to be part of Weedy Wednesday – a weekly drop-in program from 9 to 12 every Wednesday. Roger Wiles started volunteering with the Conservancy five years ago because of his life long interest in environmental matters.
Volunteers can contribute to the protection of the rare eco-system, which is otherwise closed to the public. To learn more, head to the first Weedy Wednesday in June from 9-12pm at the Preserve on Maple Bay Road.
