Victims and Survivors of Crime Awareness Week

Victims, survivors of crime and those who work to help them will be celebrating this week.
Kendra Thomas, program coordinator with Warmland Women’s Support Services Society says this week is  Victims and Survivors of Crime Awareness Week .
She says the event raises awareness about the issues facing victims of crime and about the services, assistance and laws in place to help victims….
From 1 to 4 at Charles Hoey Park in Duncan, on Saturday a service provider BBQ will be held.
MP Alistair MacGregor will present some service providers with Justice Canada Certificates of Appreciation.
