Cowichan Tribes celebrates 50 years

Cowichan Tribes members are celebrating 50 years of government today (Tues).
Cowichan Tribes is the largest First Nation in B.C., providing services to over 4600 members and over 5000 non-members living in the Cowichan Valley area.
A celebration is being held today at the Cowichan Tribes administration complex.
There were traditional blessings and cultural protocols held this morning (Tues) and this afternoon features an open house for the public with performances by local artists and performers, snacks, activities and prizes.
