National conference comes to Cowichan VIU
The Inclusive Workplace Conference at the Vancouver Island University Cowichan Campus aims to increase understanding of Indigenous experiences in the workplace.
Academic Administrator Warren Weir says the VIU Cowichan Campus make a big effort to provide increased access to aboriginal students – and this is proven in their enrolment numbers.
Weir says its the first time the Cowichan Campus will host a national conference funded by the the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and co-sponsored by post-secondary institutions across the country.
The conference takes place tomorrow (Tue) and Wednesday.
