Plans for the dry grad for students of School District 68 are ongoing.
A couple of weeks ago, the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Dry Grad volunteer coordinator Karen Pedersen put out a call for volunteers.
She says she was short and it was looking like the event might have to be cancelled, but people heard her call and hundreds of emails came forward….
As many as one thousand students are expected to attend the annual event and they are being urged to sign up for it now so plans can continue.
